I'm happy to announce that Lame Goat Press, for its second project, will be publishing a collection of short stories by Kody Boye, tentatively titled An Amorous Thing. Given the state of finances, family life, and other issues, this should be released early to mid '11. Kody's work is top notch, and I'm excited to be working with him on such a collection! :D

No worries, Chris. I already responded, by the way. ;)

Well, I just thought, when I finally figured out what you are talking about that it is a really neat idea, and I bet a lot of people would jump for the chance to do their own anthology, I'm really sorry I didn't understand the post. I hope you'll still do it, don't let one wrong post (mine) change your mind... by the way, things are going terrible for me and this is my third apology today so I'm NOT someone who isn't going around making mistakes, lol... ugh

Thanks you guys.

BTW, Chris--I hope you're feeling better. I know what it's like to have days where you seem to be screwing up over and over, or doing something wrong at every turn.

Feel better, 'K?

After a month of submissions, decisions and careful consideration, the winner of my cover contest has now been chosen.

Without further ado, may I introduce the preliminary cover of An Amorous Thing --my upcoming collection and Lame Goat's upcoming single-author novel.

Created by none other than Dan Galli, an artist responsible for several of the Library of the Living Dead/Library of Horror covers, as well as many promotional and/or graphical design for Permuted Press' books, Dan combined the general theme I came up with in a way that none of the other artists have. Using a worn diary as a main focal point, Dan has combined several elements in the front cover alone.

If you are interested in seeing more of Dan's work, please visit him online at http://dreamneonblack.deviantart.com

A special thanks go out to everyone who's entered the contest and to Chris for helping me run this thing. Although I may not have gone about running the contest in a way that could have allowed more, time-wary people, I'm not in the least disappointing with how it came out.

Kody,

that is truly stunning. And I'm glad to see the giraffe in there. It is a stunning cover.

I'm not sure exactly. Do you have something turned off? :-/

And Deb, Dan did AN AMAZING job on the cover. I can't wait to see the little tweaks he makes to the front and what he has on the eventual wraparound.
